Allegheny County has created a public map of active covid-19 vaccination locations.
The Vaccine Provider map, available online at the county’s COVID Vaccine Information page. Users can access it directly at http://alleghenycounty.us/vaccinemap.
“We are trying to make it as easy as possible for as many people as possible to get vaccinated, and this map will aid those efforts,” said Dr. Debra Bogen, the county’s health director. “Getting vaccinated means getting our lives back, it means spending time safely with loved ones and protecting yourself and others from this deadly virus. I urge everyone to use this map today and get vaccinated.”
In addition to the physical site locations, the map contains information about pharmacies and ongoing vaccination sites, as well as temporary clinics. Each location included on the map has information about the type of vaccine available and instructions for how to register for an appointment.
Nearly 370,000 people have been fully inoculated against covid-19 in Allegheny County, according to data from the state Department of Health. More than 229,000 have been partially vaccinated, or about 60% of residents.
All Pennsylvania residents 16 and older are eligible for a covid vaccine as of last Tuesday. A county news release said it’s estimated around 1 million people in Allegheny County are now eligible.
