Amid the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country and a grim situation with patients struggling to get proper medication and lack of hospital beds, not to mention the ongoing oxygen crisis, B-town celebrities have been under the radar of social media users — some for abandoning the country during the COVID crisis and vacationing abroad, others for continuing to shoot.
At such a time, when Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor on Friday shared took to her verified Instagram handle to share a series of photos that featured her dressed as a Gen Z bride on a magazine cover, it made headlines and caught the attention of netizens.
But before anyone could raise a question as to why was she shooting for a cover issue amid the pandemic, Janhvi issued a clarification alongside the series of photos.
In her caption, Janhvi wrote a message for her fans that read, “In these trying times, I know it’s important to be sensitive to the troubles we as a country are facing & I would never want to be inconsiderate towards that. This cover, however, and the subsequent posts of it had been committed to a while back and were shot before lockdown. We were as safe and precautious as possible. I hope all of you are staying safe and strong! Love always.”
As for the photos, dressed in different bridal avatars for the cover issue, Janhvi posed effortlessly for the clicks.
