(Pocket-lint) – If you’ve got a home office, a games room, a den, or anywhere in your home that’s just a little too far away from your main refrigerator, you’ve probably thought about picking up a mini fridge for it.
These dinky little fridges can keep food and drink brilliantly chilled, perfect for a gruelling day at work, or for cutting loose on the weekend with some friends. However, there are loads of sizes available from a range of manufacturers. That’s why we’ve cut out the hassle for you and brought together some of the very best right here.
Our guide to the best mini fridges you can buy today
Subcold Super50 LED
You might not agree, but, for our money, this Subcold fridge does a superb job of looking like exactly what we envision when someone describes a mini fridge.
It’s a great size, letting you store plenty without being too massive, and that see-through glass door elevates it way above the competition by letting you see what you’re stocked with without needing to open it.
It’s not the cheapest option, by a good margin, but it’s a great pick if you’re looking for quality.
Russell Hobbs RHTTLF1B
If you like the medium size that the Subcold fridge in the top spot offers, this Russell Hobbs model is a great way to get similar features for a far lower price.
You lose out on some niceties, not least the glass door, but the price-point makes this fridge arguably the best value on the list, which is why it’s ranked so highly.
Of course, some people will be looking for a way smaller fridge than even those two options, and Subcold’s also got a really good unit for that need.
The Classic4 is minute, with the capacity to hold four cans of your favorite soft drink and just about nothing else.
That’ll mean it’s perfect for some and too small for others, but, if you want a truly tiny fridge, this is a great choice.
NETTA Mini Fridge
If you like the look of this incredibly small sort of fridge, but four cans isn’t quite enough, this fridge from NETTA is ever so slightly larger.
It can hold six cans instead of four, at a very similar price to Subcold’s fridge, although with what we think is a slightly less attractive design. Still, it very much does what it says on the tin.
SensioHome 10L Mini Fridge
Our final choice is a bit of a Goldilocks option – it’s between the two size ranges we’ve featured so far, with a 10 litre capacity allowing for a few cans of drink and various snacks to fit in.
It’s not quite as well-made as the others listed, but represents pretty solid value relative to its capacity, and could slot nicely under a desk or table.
This pick from RCA is ideal for those who need something a little bigger, and can easily drop into a home office, home bar or even act as a complement to your kitchen fridge.
The 84L capacity allows you to fit in plenty of drinks and snacks, with two shelves also helping you separate and stack more easily.
Naturally, temperature controls on the inside allow you to adjust the cooling to the ideal spot, and there are a couple of neat design tricks to help adapt the RFR320-B to your space, too.
Users can take advantage of both the reversible door and adjustable legs to help it fit around other units and spaces.
Black + Decker BCRK17B
Black + Decker is on a quest to fill your home and garden with every essential tool, and that includes miniature fridges.
Measuring in at 17.5 x 18.5 x 19.7-inches, the BCRK17B is a really healthy medium-sized fridge that’s ideal for those who need a bit more space than some of the cram-and-shut options on this list.
A reversible door and adjustable legs also make it versatile in adapting to different spaces, and the quiet operation means it can fit into pretty much any home space, including offices and games rooms.
Crownful Mini Fridge
For those who want chilled beverages or snacks but don’t require a big capacity, this Crownful offering is a really solid budget pick.
With enough space for around six soda cans – as well as a removable shelf for easy separation – it’s a perfect pick for a home office.
However, thanks to its warming capabilities, which maxes out around 149 degrees Fahrenheit (65 degrees Celcius), it can also be used to easily heat up hot drinks, snacks and more.
Midea Compact Refrigerator
Midea’s medium-sized mini fridge keeps things simple, but it’s a really effective solution for home offices.
The 19.4 x 18.6 x 17.7-inch, square-style unit can easily fit under most desks, with the internal space allowing for two shelves of neat beverage and snack space. That’s also joined by door storage on two levels, as well as a tiny freezer compartment.
It also runs very quietly, which means you won’t have to deal with the constant hum of the motor in the background while you work.
AstroAI Mini Fridge
Similar to Crownful’s mini fridge, this AstroAI pick is ideal for countertop or desk chilling or warming, with 4L capacity enough for a few soda cans and maybe a snack.
The 5.5 x 5.3 x 8.07-inch internal space features a removable shelf, and two AC/DC outlets mean you can plug it into a standard wall outlet and also your car’s 12V cigarette lighter.
Even better, it’s extremely quiet running whether it’s cooling or warming, reaching a max of around 25dB.
