Fans blame BCCI as Rishabh Pant tests Covid +ve

India Tour of England: A day before the players were supposed to gather in the team bio-bubble, it has emerged that Rishabh Pant has tested positive for Coronavirus and is now under isolation.

The 20-day break that was approved by BCCI ends on Thursday as the players were supposed to reassemble in Durham before their 3-day warm-up game against a County Championship XI team.

Pant is asymptomatic and will not join the rest of the squad until he returns a negative test.

A lot of eyebrows were raised when the BCCI had conferred a 20-day break to the Indian cricketers after a bitter loss in the World Test Championship final. However, the board was unfazed by them.
