A Case for Impeachment | Canada Free Press

Federal government must be shrunken to the point that they work within the limits of the enumerated powers as defined in the United States Constitution

|||

The United States Constitution, Article II, Section 4:

“The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on impeachment for, and Conviction of Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

In recent times the House of Representative has played rather loose with what is an impeachable offense on the part of a President.  Throughout the Trump administration, the elite socialist Democrat Party and their minions saw nearly everything Trump did as President as an impeachable offense.  In their misplaced enthusiasm, by saying that anything they called an impeachable offense is an impeachable offence, they effectively destroyed the institution of impeachment in their overreach. Nearly everyone who was not an elite socialist Democrat looked at their actual assertions against Trump as a joke. But, they accomplished their goal of leading the uneducated voters hate to defeat Trump in 2020.

The President Joe Biden family criminal enterprise is very hard to ignore

Now in 2022, we need to take a look at the President and the whole Democrat Party.  There is a serious case to be made concerning treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors.

The President Joe Biden family criminal enterprise is very hard to ignore, unless you are an elite socialist Democrat, their minions, and the mainstream media.  If the monies this criminal enterprise take from highly placed government officials from Russia, Communist China, and other governments are not bribes, there is no such thing as bribery.  If Joe Biden inciting the treasonous importation of an army of foreign nationals and facilitating the infiltration and distribution of these foreign nationals all over the United States isn’t treason, then there is no such thing as treason.  If Joe Biden inciting the use of excessive force by federal law enforcement officers against American citizens that oppose his political positions isn’t a crime, then there is no such thing as excessive force.  If Joe Biden inciting and encouraging federal officials to violate the Constitution and an unimaginable number of other federal laws, there is no such thing as the rule of law.

But who is there to hold President Biden accountable to the Constitution and federal law?  The House of Representatives?  Not very likely until after the November 2022 election, and even then it is questionable.  Why questionable, you might ask?  That leads us to the other criminal enterprise I will discuss.

For years the American public has consistently given Congress low approval ratings in more polls than I can name.  The heretofore unspoken reason is that Congress is, to a large extent, a massive criminal enterprise of its own.  It is a criminal enterprise where bribery abounds where too many Congress people get rich, as do too many Senators, while supposedly serving the people.  When serving in Congress became a profession, ethics, morals, and Judeo-Christian values went out the window.  As they say, money talks.

The fly in the ointment is that the Constitution identifies only the House of Representative as the agency to draw up a Bill of Impeachment

“Few men have virtue to withstand the highest bidder.” ~ George Washington

I would never maintain that all Congresspersons or Senators are part of the criminal enterprise, but it isn’t hard to identify many of those that have succumbed to the temptation of the all mighty dollar.  As always, follow the money!

Many scholars suggest the members of the Congress are not “civil Officers” subject to impeachment.  If a President and Vice-President become “civil Officers” by the mere fact they were elected to office, then why are Congress people not “civil Officers” as defined by the Constitution?  Just because it has never been done does not mean it can’t be done.  There is nothing in the U.S. Constitution exempting Congress from the impeachment process.  The fly in the ointment is that the Constitution identifies only the House of Representative as the agency to draw up a Bill of Impeachment.

So, the likelihood of any Representative delving into that morass is highly unlikely.  The “good old boy” network and “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” is simply too pervasive no matter which political party controls the House.

“However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.” ~ George Washington

When the 17th Amendment was passed, the “For Sale” sign went up for every Senator.

What can be done to fix the severely broken U.S. Government?  First, in regard to the elected officials, throw the rascals out!  Every American voter can inflict term limits on every elected office.  In fact, it is your duty to do just that.  End elected office as a profession, in every case!  The Founding Fathers cautioned us to not allow this to happen.  Throw the rascals out at every election.

Next, because we tend to be lazy and do not pay nearly enough attention to election after election, establish term limits for every elected official at all levels of government.  Citizens should serve their fellow citizens then go back to their real life.  Nobody should serve in any office more than one term, nobody!  Professional elected office holders are for sale at every level.  These should simply be service positions, not a lifestyle or a criminal enterprise.

Repeal the 17th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.  The Founding Fathers were wise enough to know that Congressmen were to represent the people and the Senate was designed to represent their respective state’s legislature.  When the 17th Amendment was passed, the “For Sale” sign went up for every Senator.

Lastly, the federal government must be shrunken to the point that they work within the limits of the enumerated powers as defined in the United States Constitution.  Everything else reverts back to the states or the people as clearly defined in the Constitution.

“The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite.” ~ Thomas Jefferson
