Ex-Dean Gets 14-Month Sentence in Rankings Scandal

Moshe Porat, the previous dean of the enterprise faculty at Temple College, was sentenced Friday to 14 months in jail for his position in a significant rankings scandal, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. Porat was convicted in December of wire fraud for submitting false information to U.S. Information & World Report for rankings.

U.S. District Decide Gerald J. Pappert referred to as Porat’s obsession with driving the enterprise faculty to the No. 1 spot “maniacal” and stated, “He nonetheless doesn’t assume he did something improper. He has by no means accepted any accountability. He blames everybody else.”
