James Wiseman injury update will make Dubs fans happier

Making things even better for the Golden State Warriors after winning the NBA title, James Wiseman revealed that he has made major progress in his recovery from knee injury.

Wiseman wasn’t able to play for the Warriors throughout the 2021-22 regular season and playoffs due to a meniscus injury in his right knee. Fortunately after getting a plasma-rich injection last April, he has taken huge strides in getting back to full practice.

Now speaking with reporters on Saturday, Wiseman revealed that is back to running and doing the “regular stuff” in practice as he works his way back to game shape. The Warriors big man then highlighted that there is a good chance–90 percent to be exact–that he suits up in the Summer League for the Dubs, per Kendra Andrews of ESPN.

Big man depth was a major issue for the Warriors throughout the season and their playoffs run, but with James Wiseman returning and after Kevon Looney’s breakout performance in the postseason, things are looking good on that end for the team.

It remains to be seen how Wiseman will perform in the regular season after more than a year on the sidelines, but the Warriors and their fan base should definitely be excited on what the future holds with their young core getting more significant experience.
