  • The elevated offers on four United credit cards will expire on August 10, 2022 by the end of the day.
  • The highest bonus is on the premium United Club℠ Infinite Card, which is offering 100,000 bonus miles after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
  • Less-frequent United flyers should consider the United Quest℠ Card, United℠ Explorer Card, or United Gateway℠ Card.
  • Read Insider’s guide to the best travel rewards credit cards.

Four of the top United credit cards have been offering elevated welcome bonuses for the past few months now, but they won’t be around for much longer. There’s only a week left to apply for the United Club℠ Infinite Card, United Quest℠ Card, United℠ Explorer Card, and United Gateway℠ Card increased bonus offers, which will expire on August 10, 2022 by the end of the day.

Each of these cards is suited to a different type of United traveler, but they’re all good choices if you’re looking to stock up on United miles. You can redeem United miles for travel on United or on Star Alliance and other partners, including Air Canada, Lufthansa, and Singapore Airlines. And because United miles don’t expire, there’s no harm in earning a stash of miles now to use for travel down the road.

Here’s a quick overview of each United credit card offer to help you decide if you should take advantage before these higher bonuses disappear.

We’re focused here on the rewards and perks that come with each card. These cards won’t be worth it if you’re paying interest or late fees. When using a credit card, it’s important to pay your balance in full each month, make payments on time, and only spend what you can afford to pay.

The United Gateway℠ Card doesn’t have as impressive of a bonus or perks as the other United cards, but it’s a good option for occasional United flyers who want a no-frills card for earning United miles and getting a handful of benefits. It currently has a welcome bonus offer of 30,000 bonus miles after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months your account is open (worth around $390 in flights based on Insider’s valuations).

Because this card has no annual fee, it’s a good choice for those who mainly want a United card to access expanded award availability on United flights. Otherwise, it doesn’t come with much in the way of day-of-travel benefits, except a rebate on inflight purchases.

You can check out our United Gateway card review for more information.

Bottom line

The elevated welcome offers on the the United Club℠ Infinite Card, United Quest℠ Card, United℠ Explorer Card, and United Gateway℠ Card will expire on August 10, 2022 by the end of the day. If you’re looking to boost your United MileagePlus account balances, it’s a good time to look at any of these cards.

Keep in mind these aren’t the absolute highest bonuses we’ve seen on these cards, but they’re pretty close. We don’t know what the new offers will be after these ones expire, so if you have an immediate need for United miles, now is the time to apply.
