(ZETDC) has warned pay as you go clients they will be unable to purchase electrical energy
tokens from July until they clear their money owed.

The facility utility is owed over $15 billion by shoppers,
each people and industrial entities.

ZETDC is reportedly shedding over US$5 million to vandalism
of its infrastructure yearly.

Final week, ZETDC gave clients a one-week ultimatum to
clear their excellent money owed or face disconnection.

“The ZETDC want to thank its valued clients for
positively responding to the decision to clear excellent balances, additional to the
seven-day moratorium that was given to defaulting post-paid clients,” the
energy utility firm mentioned in an announcement.

“Pay as you go clients with excellent money owed are hereby
notified to clear their excellent debt inside the subsequent three months ending
June 2022.

“A 3-month interval has been prolonged for owing clients
on pay as you go meters to clear their money owed with the expectation that the purchasers
will clear not less than a 3rd of their debt earlier than they’ll buy energy for
the month.

“It’s anticipated {that a} third of the debt can have been
paid by April, 2022 and the ultimate third shall be paid by June 2022.
