Reason Gaming announces Street Fighter V Offline Invitational featuring several top UK players

Long-running UK esports organisation Reason Gaming has announced a new series of Offline Invitational events, starting with a Street Fighter V tournament this month.

The first Reason2Play Offline Invitational will take place on January 29th 2022 at PC provider Bosecom’s facility in Watford, and will be streamed on the Reason Gaming Twitch channel.

It will feature six of London’s top players Street Fighter players and two Reason veterans, with participants including Boltstrike, JesterPower, Hurricane, The4Philzz (who recently represented Great Britain at the Global Esports Games) and more.

There will be eight players overall, with the final player to be announced soon.

The tournament will have a double elimination format and a £250 prize pool, with fans able to help increase the prize pool via the Reason2Play SFV Invitational Matcherino page.

While there won’t be the option for fans to attend in person this time around, Reason says it has “plans to grow these events in the future to allow for live spectators and more participants”.

Reason said: “Offline events are something we’ve been wanting to run for a long time now, but with COVID turning all plans upside down for the last two years, we have had to put plans on hold until we were able to run events safely and responsibly.”

Partners for the event include PC brand ThermalTake, which has provided Reason with Argent E700 gaming chairs for the tournament, and focus supplement Beyond NRG, which has supplied the org with eight Discovery Packs each consisting of a shaker and five powdered energy drink flavours.

In other recent Beyond NRG news, the brand recently partnered with SK Gaming and UK retailer Superdrug began stocking Beyond NRG for the first time.
