Highlight PA and its founding members, together with Trib Whole Media, are sponsoring a debate Tuesday that includes 5 candidates looking for the Republican nomination in Pennsylvania’s gubernatorial race.
The 90-minute debate at Gettysburg Faculty will probably be broadcast on the nonprofit cable tv community PCN, airing at 7 p.m., and livestreamed by the founding members. Along with Trib Whole Media, different founding members of Highlight PA embody The Philadelphia Inquirer, PennLive/the Patriot-Information and WITF-FM.
Candidates scheduled to take part in Tuesday’s debate embody State Senate President Professional Tempore Jake Corman, Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Gale, Republican strategist and former lobbyist Charlie Gerow, former Congresswoman Melissa Hart and surgeon Nche Zama.
GOP candidates not collaborating embody former U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta, state Sen. Doug Mastriano, former U.S. lawyer Invoice McSwain and Delaware County enterprise proprietor Dave White.
There will probably be no Democratic gubernatorial debate as Pennsylvania Legal professional Basic Josh Shapiro is operating unopposed.
Tuesday’s debate would be the first of three focusing on hotly contested major races. Democratic U.S. Senate candidates will debate on April 25 at Dickinson Faculty in Carlisle, whereas Republican U.S. Senate candidates will debate the next day at Dickinson.
The debates will run for 90 minutes and have questions from moderator Scott LaMar, a radio host with Harrisburg’s NPR affiliate WITF-FM, and journalists from Trib Whole Media, The Inquirer and PennLive/the Patriot-Information. The collaborating candidates had no position in figuring out subjects or questions for the talk.
Tuesday’s debate is being held along side the Eisenhower Institute at Gettysburg Faculty.
